The Shop @ Coolum
Some cafés just get community and The Shop @ Coolum is one of them. From the moment you step inside, you feel it. The seating is wrapped in lush greenery, so it genuinely feels like you’re sitting in a garden, sipping coffee… all while being just opposite the Coolum Surf Club.
It’s an easy two-minute walk from the Coolum Caravan Park, making it the perfect stop whether you’re a local or visiting the coast. Dave, the owner, is wonderfully charismatic and welcoming, and that warmth flows through the whole space.
The food is gorgeous, with a great vegetarian selection, and the homemade biscuits are the kind you have to take one (or two) for the road. The coffee? Absolutely delicious — the kind that makes you slow down and stay a little longer.
And keep an eye on this space… rumour has it this café is set to hit the big screen in 2026, featuring in the upcoming movie Allen. A little local gem with a very exciting future.
